Our recently renovated 2 bedroom Front Cottage offers modern elegant accommodation for up to 4 people. So if you are wanting to enjoy a stay in the mountains with the convenience of being close to everything and not breaking your budget then Careel Cottages will not disappoint.

Our recently renovated 2 bedroom Front Cottage offers compact yet elegant accommodation for up to 4 people. We also have a Travel cot for guests travelling with infants.
A new kitchen with easy-to-use appliances that blend into a great living area with high vaulted ceilings giving a real feeling of space. A cozy real flame gas log fire adds to the ambiance.
All this just a short walk to the Cafes and restaurants of Katoomba and conveniently located to get to all the sights, walks and lookouts.
The Front Cottage consists of two bedrooms with Queen beds in both.
The vaulted ceilings give a feeling of space in the lounge/dining area and the warmth of the natural gas real flame log fire adds that final touch. The kitchen is a galley-style contemporary themed design with everything you need to entertain and cook at home.
A new bathroom and great new outdoor deck with BBQ completes the property.
We have FOXTEL which covers all of your TV viewing plus a variety of popular APPS such as Netflix, Stan and Optus Sport to name a few.
The Front Cottage has off street parking for up to 2 cars. If you are travelling by train to the area we are located a 15 min walk or short taxi ride from the station in the main street.

Cozy little 2-bedroom cottage, located in Katoomba. We loved to warm up in front of the fireplace.
The business is run by a private person who thinks about all the little details.
He had what we need from coffee, milk to shampoo and conditioners.

Lovely Airbb, interior decor is pretty and comfortable, many fleece blankets for extra warmth too! Difficult to get to and from without a car as the slope incline to the town centre is steep, especially if carrying many Bags!

Thank you for having us, we had a great time in the Blue Mountains! The cottage was perfect for what we needed, spacious and comfortable. Steve ensured more linen was delivered as soon he realised we didn't have enough, quickly rectifying the situation. We loved relaxing by the fire in the living room!! Heated blankets were so welcomed and a great addition to our stay!

We are family of 4, we visited Blue Mountains area for 3 days in July. Cozy and clean place. Complete house facilities and spacious private parking space. House is close to attraction places and within walking distance to supermarkets. Plenty of blankets and heaters are provided, which are very useful during winter.

This was a great cosy stay for our young family and dog. Right across the street from a dog friendly reserve, and down the street (up a hill) from the main road of Katoomba. The heaters and fire made the place comfortable on the cold night.

Cozy little house located at the heart of Katoomba. Kitchen had all the amenities for us to cook a simple meal. The living area had a warm fireplace for us to gather around. Bed was clean and comfortable. Would definitely recommend :)

Lovely spot. Well located for all the Blue Mountains has to offer. Our only disappointment was that we didn't have more time to enjoy the home!

Our family had a great time at Careel Cottages. The front cottage where we stayed was very comfortable and very clean. It was fairly cold at the time we visited, but the gas heater was a lovely addition to the cottage which warmed us up quickly. All the beds and furnishings were very comfortable and modern. The location of the cottage was very convenient being very close to Katoomba shops and Scenic world. I would highly recommend staying at the Careel Cottages and would love to go back again to this accommodation in the future.

Lovely and excellent value stay in Katoomba, which is so handy for blue mountains hikes, scenic world, etc. Electric blankets for all the beds for the cooler evenings were a great touch! We loved our stay here and wished we weren't on such a whistle stop tour so were only here one night.

Steve was really helpful especially as I got the initial dates wrong booking. He is very responsive too. The place was ion an excellent location, walking distance to everything with a beautiful park across the road. Steve's place is dog friendly which was a must for me as I wanted to bring Lilly with me to enjoy the beauty of the mountains and walks.

To be honest it's the best place I stayed in blue mountains area.
Very peaceful and surrounded with greens. There's a natural walk right outside. It's also very close to Woolies and all the restaurants on main street. Around 15 minutes walk. It's a bit of a hill but you can easily park your car at the end of the road, then just 5 minutes flat walking, or park at Woolies if not busy.
Super clean inside with modern furniture. Has everything you ever needed except shampoo. But we like to bring our own so not an issue.
Will definitely book again if staying in blue mountains in the future.

We had a great time visiting the Blue Mountains and staying in Steve's property. It's in an ideal location meaning you can quickly drive to lots of the main sights or even walk. The property itself is perfect for two couples with great bedrooms, all the amenities you could need, and perfectly clean! We also found the price to be really reasonable for the blue mountains.

Spotlessly clean, nicely appointed, with off street parking and a great location. The heaters and fireplace kept the cottage cosy on the cold nights. Mattresses were very comfortable for a great night's sleep. Communication with the owners was seamless, allowing for effortless check-in. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again on our next visit to the Blue Mountains.

We had a great stay at Careel cottages. We were in Katoomba on a canyoning trip and would happily stay again at the Careel cottages. The easy and comprehensive instructions made check in a breeze and the fireplaces in each cabin made for a warm and cozy stay. There are plenty of blankets, modern and updated furnishings and fittings and everything was extremely clean.
We could walk easily to mountain culture brewery for some post canyoning beers and the back cottage is WAY bigger than it looks in photos which meant we could all gather together in the back cottage comfortably despite being a group across both cottages.
Additional benefits are the outdoor clothesline where we could hang out wet gear and the nice outdoor settings which we didn't get to use because it was cold weather, but would be nice on a warmer day.
You will not be disappointed if you choose these cottages.

Really enjoyed our stay at Careel Front Cottage. The perfect place to stay and nice and warm with the gas fire and electric blanket. Good location, not far from the Main Street and the old Catalina racetrack nearby was a great place to walk our dog.

Our stay at Steve’s place was fantastic. The pre check-in instructions were super clear and answered most of our questions. We messaged Steve on one occasion and he was super responsive. We even got a message that we could check in early which was really appreciated.
The house was fantastic! The gas fireplace was a winner and made the cold nights comfortable. Plenty of heating and spare blankets for the bedrooms. Heaps of included ammenities which were awesome! The house itself is nestled in the trees and super clean. Only a short drive to town and to plenty of the lookouts.
I would highly recommend Careel Cottages and look forward to coming back in the future.

A great spot, walking ( hilly but good) distance to town, aquatic centre, bus stop, train station and Echo Point. All the amenities were good and the hosts were easy and helpful to communicate with. I’d recommend a stay here without reservation.

Lovely little cottage with all the essentials for a short stay. Great location and only wildlife sounds at night. Only issue we had was the high table and stools meaning our children had to eat sitting down. Not an issue for most people I know but just something to be aware of if travelling with children.

Host sent through all important information on the property weeks out from our check in date and assisted with providing places to eat out on Xmas day. They were able to let me know that we could check in before 2pm. Parking right outside the door-easy to unpack/pack the car. Lovely cosy accommodation with all the comforts of home.Great paths to walk the dog and there is a new Aquatic Centre at the end of the road. Town centre and all the attractions are within a 5 min drive. Will definitely stay here again.

Careel Cottage has been a wonderful place to stay during our visit to the Blue Mountains. The location is great - close to the town, Scenic World and the many walks in the Jamison Valley. There’s a great place for a walk called “The Gulley” literally across the road from the property.
The Cottage had everything we could have wanted for our stay. We appreciated the tea, coffee, milk and especially the chocolates! Great to have so many of the kitchen essentials provided too like cling film and tin foil. It was very clean, warm and comfortable- just perfect and somewhere I would highly recommend.

A great pet-friendly place to stay, with everything you need. Lovely and warm on a chilly night, comfy bed and nice sheets. Handy to shops and restaurants. Easy check in. Steve and Sharon were responsive to any questions.

Great base for exploring the Blue Mountains. Close to town centre for shopping and supplies though some hilly roads mean ideal for persons travelling by car, good on site parking. Very clean and well kept with modern amenities. Host very responsive on feedback regarding queries. Would recommend.

The cottage was warm, cosy and inviting with all the necessities and more. Close to the shops and restaurants and easy check-in. Thoroughly recommend it 👍

Lovely cosy place to stay for our trip to the Blue Mountains! Location was perfect & our little dog Reggie had the best time & loved the park across the road! Very comfy stay that was lovely & warm with the fire! Will return! 😀

Very cute cottage, gas fire was very warm on some chilly afternoons and evenings. Hilly area, but not far from the shops if you’re up for the walk. Steve was very good with communication and cottage had everything you needed for a few nights away

We loved our stay at Careel Cottages. The Front cottage was clean, comfortable and well furnished. We really loved the fireplace - warmed the place up so quickly. Thank you for a wonderful stay Steve and Sharon.

Stayed with a family of four which suited us nicely for a 2 night stay. Walk to town centre around 10 mins and a small park across the road for walks. A handy washer and dryer was available which was much appreciated after staying in Sydney beforehand. We were gifted with a restaurant voucher which we took advantage of for a date night and were throughly impressed with our meals. Incredibly enjoyed our stay and felt the location was excellent for visiting places of interests.

We loved our stay at Careel Cottages. It was clean and super cosy - exactly as per photos. We'll definately book another stay, maybe in winter this time, so we can use the fireplace.

We had a lovely stay. Everything was as described. The cottage was well maintained and very clean. It was a short walk to shops, cafes, and local walking tracks. Would definitely stay again in future!

Charming little cottage in great location
Nicely furnished cottage with well equipped kitchen. Convenient location, close to town and national park walks, lovely little lake nearby. Easy check in/out with key safe. Off-street parking.

We had a lovely stay at the charming cottage. The place is spotless clean, convenient to get to the Katoomba shops in a quiet suburbia street opposite a lovely park to take my dog for walks. Steve was great in his communication and thoughtful in letting me know that the cottage was ready earlier than the 2 pm check in time. I will be back for another stay.

This is the perfect base to explore the blue mountains, we enjoyed 3 nights in this beautiful space - very close distance to the Main Street and the house comes with all base amenities you could need. Looking forward to coming back!

Stayed a night for a trip with friends and we loved this place. It is in perfect location. Close to restaurants and cafes, groceries and all the popular hiking tracks and look outs. The house was lovely, decorated very nice and also very clean. There were all the amenities we needed including kitchen utensils and blankets.

We had such a wonderful stay! Careel Cottage had everything we needed for our winter stay, plus so much more! The kids loved the electric blankets, the fireplace and NETFLIX! The location was perfect too. In walking distance to the main strip, but a nice quiet street. We enjoyed many of the beautiful walking tracks in the area too. Thank you so much Stephen, the kids are already asking to go back!

Steve was very easy to communicate with. Very prompt with his answers and gave a lot of details about check in and the area. He recommended a $7 taxi from the train station and it was a good recommendation as we arrived in the dark with a lot of luggage. We walked into town the rest of the time and yes, the hill from the cottage into town is a good walk but it is worth it! The cottage was cozy and comfortable. Steve has a lot of brochures and info about the area on the bookshelf in the cottage so that was helpful too. We had a very nice stay! Thank you Steve.
